Finally, to define the service objective, it is important to consider that the purpose of the service and its connection to the course must be clear to the students. The clearer the meaning of the project for the people involved, the better the quality of the result . To define the community partner to work with, it is first necessary to check that the characteristics of the community partner complement those of the course and vice versa. To determine this, it is necessary to think about the profile of the community partner to work with: degree of vulnerability, remoteness, level of structure, previous experience with SL courses, necessary infrastructure, among others. It is also necessary to think about the characteristics of the course; learning objectives, number and characteristics of the students, level of study, SL teaching training, available resources, among others. * Generally, when there is no defined community partner, a list is made of possible services that may be planned from the course. In this way, the information may be sent to a list of potential partners and then develop the service jointly.
