This question answers the objective that will guide the next steps. When setting it, it should be considered how the achievement of the objective will be assessed. An objective may be relating the theoretical content of the course to the service experience, contextualizing the social reality of the place they attend, developing critical thinking skills in relation to the subject matter addressed, etc.

social or public commitment, teamwork, oral communication, critical thinking and problem resolution, which are also present in the UC distinctive mark. The definitions of the skills and their levels of achievement may be reviewed by clicking on the following link .

When planning a reflection activity, it is advisable to make explicit the kind of competency or transversal skill that is expected to be developed, specifically identifying its level. This will help to better orient the design of the activity. If there is a clear definition of the competency, it is preferable that it be transformed into indicators to make the work easier and more operative, which will facilitate its subsequent assessment. In a study carried out by CDDoc, it was found that the 5 main skills that are developed in a SL course are:

After establishing the objective(s) and the way in which the reflection will be carried out, the next step is to join them, defining achievement criteria. It is recommended that in each reflection activity a moment should be included where the activity is explained with its

objective and justification about why the activity was chosen to be carried out. Along with this, it is also necessary to define if it will be carried out in a formative or evaluative way, for its fulfillment.

When designing the reflection strategy, it is important to consider the following three questions that we recommend below:
