Students know that their course incorporates the SLmethodology. In the Course book the SL Courses are identified inorder tomake it easier to choose courses or just to let themknow the characteristics of their future courses. At the beginning of the Course, the methodology is always presented, making transparent why it is used in the course and subject. Student leaders may participate in formal curricular instances where SL is discussed, as well as students are given the opportunity to participate in instances other than their courses, related to the implementation of the methodology such as congresses, application to competitive funds, among others. In a state of consolidating the implementation, the tasks of the SL committee have already been transferred to the different positions or entities related to the curriculumand teaching staff at the AU.

Students know, by being in a SL course, that their career incorporates the methodology and in which Courses they will work with the methodology. In this context, they will know about SL and why it is incorporated in the course and/or career.

Students may participate in instances related to themethodology, other than their courses, such as the service learning institutionalization committee in their career.

The committee remains active during the implementation and assessment process of the pilot courses, planning future actions to install their functionality in the formal structures of the AU. There is no person in charge of the AU. The AU hasacademic leadersof themethodology, who naturally assume a leading role, promoting progress and cooperating and/or participating in the SL committee. The AU has proposed concrete objectives in the context of the institutionalization process, which emerge from the SL committee and are shared and approved by the government structures of the unit (dean, management, curricular committee).

The AU relies on a person who is highly trained in SL, in charge of supporting the implementation of themethodology in the AU, this task is found in his/her job description.

Inorder tohaveamidand long-termprojection, the AU has incorporated in its strategic plan, specific goals related to the implementation of the SL methodology. This gives a more permanent character to the implementation.
