Community Partners: Municipality of Renca, CEDEUS, MEL (Movement against Lethal Speeding), Indepecleta, UC Sustainability Office, Neighborhood Council 13 Mario Baeza Barrio Bellavista and Social Change Laboratory. Project description: The groups of LabVivo students carried out, throughout the semester, a series of participatory research activities for action, which allowed them, even in Covid-19 pandemic, to perform virtual or real visit, field observations (also virtual or real), interviews of various types, surveys, reflection and deliberation workshops, processing of quantitative and qualitative data thereof, and reflection of their own capacities, limits and growth.

Attended needs: Modification and redesign of street profiles of the Renca Regulatory Plan; gathering information on pedestrian and cyclist safety; collection of information on the efficiency of bicycle transport; La Chimba bicycle lanes design from a heritage perspective; creation of a Bicycle-Parking Plan together with the Renca Mobility working group; support in the joint creation of the pilot plan for the Shared Bicycles program between UC Campuses; support the creation of a representative group of students, officials and Teacherswhoarebicycleuserswith theaimof promoting bicycle trips to campus; to test plans and proposals in order to reduce vehicular traffic in different sectors of the Barrio Bellavista.

Reflectionstrategy (s) used: Thewholeprocess depends on meetings and activities for individual and collective reflection, reinforced by a Peer Feedback system, developed by Javier PeƱafiel, tested and permanently used in the course. It consists of three sessions, one per month, where students learn to express themselves and listen to themselves in relation to the assignment and fulfillment of tasks, and other related topics. Assessment strategy (s) used: Case study, Essay, Oral presentation, Role play, interactive activities in classes and LabVivo workshops and others during and outside class hours.
