Problem resolution

Problem resolution

Definition : A problem is understood as the difference between the ideal and real situation. To proceed with the solution of the problem, it is necessary to identify, analyze and define the significant elements constituting the problem, with criteria and in an effective manner. Description : The student first solves the identified problem, applying knowledge and methods learned in classes and/or bibliographic sources. Afterwards, through reflection and experience, the student develops his/her own criteria for the resolution of the problem.

Level 3: Proposes solutions to the problems detected, using scientific and humanistic knowledge, the experience of others and networking, for decision making .

Indicators

Levels of mastery

Identifies problems by revealing why and/or how it was achieved.

Formulates key questions to define the problem and assess its magnitude.

Level 1: Identifies problems and systematically analyzes their causes.

Formulates key questions to define the problem and assess its magnitude.

Identifies and prioritizes the causes of the problem.

Identifies different solution alternatives to the detected problem.

Analyzes the pros and cons of each of the solution alternatives detected in the light of the disciplinary framework.

Level 2: Analyzes different alternatives for solving the problems detected in the light of a disciplinary framework. .

The set of solution alternatives proposed are diverse and effective.

* For the development of this competency, it is required to achieve at least the first level of mastery of the critical thinking competency.

Applies the most appropriate criteria to weigh the options and choose the correct solution.

Levels of mastery:

Selects the best alternative solution based on the analysis of the different options.

Level 3: Proposes solutions to the problems detected, using scientific and humanistic knowledge, the experience of others and networking, for decision making

Level 1: Identifies problems and systematically analyzes their causes.

Designs action and follow-up plans as a team, standing out for their quality.

Level different alternatives for solving the problems detected in the light of a disciplinary framework. 2: Analyzes

Foresee contingency and follow-up plans considering the available resources to prevent, predict and react in case other problems appear.
